BARBARA L. AUBREY, 85, a longtime resident of Slidell, LA, passed away on Friday, October 21, 2016, in Corsicana, Texas. Wife of the late John Graham Aubrey;
Mother of Nancy Aubrey Walker (Joe), and the late John Graham Aubrey Jr.;
Daughter of the late Edwin and Lucille Long;
Sister of the late Geraldine K. Long;
Also survived by one granddaughter: Rev Katherine E. Walker (Patrick Williams).
A native of New Orleans and a resident of Slidell since 1958. She was a graduate of Jefferson High School, and Soule' Business School, and was employed at Tulane University.
After moving to Slidell, Mrs. Aubrey worked as a legal secretary for the Fritchie Familly where she remained for 38 years, was former secretary of Slidell Junior High PTA, former secretary of Slidell High School Band Boosters, and former secretary of Ozone Camellia Club.
After retirement Mrs Aubrey enjoyed her years at First United Methodist Church of Slidell where she served as a member of the Lamplighters Circle and XYZ Craft group.
In later years Mrs. Aubrey became a resident at Camellia Gardens Senior Living in Slidell and attended Aldersgate United Methodist Church until 2012. Mrs. Walker moved with her family to Corsicana Texas and resided at Brookdale Senior Living until her passing.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral.

1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at 2:00 P.M.
Friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday beginning at 12:00pm.
Burial will be in FOREST LAWN CEMETERY.
