Mr. Eugene LeRoy Herman, 80 passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

He was born in Chisolm County, Minnesota to the late John Paul Herman and Florence Mae Stevens Herman. He is also preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Vonnie Herman; son, Curtis Dale Herman; 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

Eugene retired in 1991 with PWC after 30 years of service, after retiring he enjoyed farming. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather, who truly loved his family.

He is survived by daughters, Mary Herman Swindell of Charlotte and Robin Adair Johnson of Eastover; grandchildren, Christopher Herman of Concord, Robbie Johnson, Jr. of the home, Holly Taylor of Concord and Ashley Jernigan of Godwin; great granddaughter, Abigail Herman; brothers, Kirk Herman, Jack Herman and Donald Herman all of Minnesota; sister, Patty Hagen of Denver, CO; and his dogs, Rocky, Dixie, Roxy and his cat, Drake, all which he loved dearly.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Friday, December 16, 2016 at Stedman Church of God of Prophecy, officiating will be Pastor Don Baldwin. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
