Frances Radford Monk Frances "Fran" Radford Monk, 67, died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2006. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Ernie Monk. The service will be at 2 p.m. EST Sunday at Bradfordville First Baptist Church of Tallahassee, with burial in Thomasville, Ga. Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. EST Saturday at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, Riggins Road Chapel (850- 877-8191). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32308, or Ronald McDonald House, 712 E. Seventh Ave., Tallahassee, FL 32303. She was born Nov. 12, 1938, in Macon, Ga., and had been a resident of Tallahassee since 1966. Until her retirement in 1997, she and her husband Ernie were active owners of Monk's Office Machine Center for 27 years. During that time, she served for a year as the president of the ladies of the National Office Machine Dealers Association. She was an active volunteer with the Tallahassee Symphony and various other local charities. She enjoyed traveling, shopping and making new friends. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with family and friends. She was a loving mother and grandmother and a beautiful wife. Other survivors include her daughter, Shawn Monk (and her son Hunter Labbie) of Destin; a son, Walton Monk (and wife Sheila and children Hollin, Megan and Mitchell Monk); her mother-in-law, Mary Monk; and a sister-in-law, Gloria Monk of Tallahassee.
