Edna Retina (Pinson) Kidd was born on April 19, 1927 in Simpson County, Kentucky, and she was the daughter of Estell "Buck" Pinson (1900–1976) and Lucy Vera (Fletcher) Pinson (1903–1993).

She was a graduate of Orlinda High School, and she was married to Charles Herman Kidd (1924–1999), and he was the son of James Paul Kidd (1894–1929) and Kate Hayden (Garrett) Kidd (1899–1990).

Retired from Washington Manufacturing Company, she later worked for a while sewing costumes at Opryland USA.

Living in Springfield, Edna was 89 years old when she passed away on December 18, 2016 in Nashville, Tennessee with her family by her side.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles Herman Kidd and by sisters Josephine Pinson Jenkins and Betty Ruth Pinson Randolph. Survivors included three daughters and two sons-in-law, a married son, sister Frances Pinson Jones, seven grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.

Graveside Service were held on December 21st in Springfield Memorial Gardens, in Robertson County.
