Joseph Ricci, 77, of East Detroit, Mich., died Dec. 17 in East Detroit, Mich.

Mr. Ricci was born May 2, 1914, in Cedar Point, the son of Virgil and Maria (Guerrini) Ricci. He moved to East Detroit after graduating from Hopkins High School in 1932 and worked for Consumer's Gas Co. most of his life. He served in the army in an anti-aircraft artillery unit in World War II. Ricci was an usher at St. Basil's Church in East Detroit.

He is survived by three sons Mark, Michael and Gary, all of East Detroit; three sisters, Clara Bartoli of Lostant, Emma Sherry of Lomita, Calif., and Ann Biolchini of Oglesby.
