After the death of Margaret "Maggie", Joe Lea moved to Mexico. He was owner/operator of a silver mine. He married Maria Quesada, b. 1883, Mexico. Joe and Maria had several children in Mexico. The Mexican government ordered all non-Mexican citzens out of Mexico and took over the silver mine and the property of Joe Lea. He moved his family to El Paso, El Paso, Texas, where they both died. Joe died in 1917, Maria died in 1928.

Joe was called, "Dear Joe" by all his sisters that loved him dearly. He returned to New Mexico on a visit from Mexico and gave a interview to a newspaper that he had founded with his brother-in-law.

Milo was a Seven River Warrior and cattleman in Southern New Mexico, near the Texas boarder. Pierce was shot in the hip by Pecos Bob, aka Robert Olinger. Later, Olinger was killed by Billy the Kid in Lincoln, Lincoln, NM. Milo Pierce sold out his ranch and rock house in Pierce Canyon to Robert Clay Allison.
