George Murray, 85, passed away surrounded by his family on November 25, 2016.

Born in Republic, PA on February 4, 1931 to the late John & Edna Murray, George had been a Falls resident since 1960. He served his country as a member of the US Army from 1948 to 1955. He retired from the Ford Motor Company in 1993 after 35 years of service at The Walton Hills Assembly Plant. George was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Cuyahoga Falls, as well as the VFW Post 4738 in Stow.

George is survived by his beloved wife Jeanette; his sons and daughters-in-law David & Cathy, George & Amy, Michael & Monica, and Richard & Kimberly; grandchildren Tarra, David, Megan, Michael Jr., Tabitha, Jennifer, Jacklyn, Cameron, and Nicholas; great-grandchildren David III, and Landon; sister-in-law Dorothy Murray.

The family will receive friends Monday, 6-8 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home MCGOWAN-REID & SANTOS CHAPEL, 247 Stow Ave. (at Third St., one block north of Portage Trail in) Cuyahoga Falls. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, 11 am, at the funeral home. Rev. Dr. David Baker officiating. Interment will follow at Northlawn Memorial Gardens in Cuyahoga Falls.
