Betty Townsend Orr, age 82, of Gainesville passed away Monday, January 2, 2017 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, surrounded by her family.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 6, 2017 in the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with interment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery. Rev. Scott Wilson and Rev. Chris Orr will officiate. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.
Mrs. Orr was born December 1, 1934 to the late Jim & Eliza Townsend in Blairsville and was a member of Union Baptist Church. A 1953 graduate of Union County High School, she had been an office manager of Gold Kist, Inc for 30 years, prior to the Ownership of Georgia Mountain Graphics.
