Taurus was my step-daughter's dog. He was half pit-bull. We had him over a year, and he got along fine with Pup-Pup, my pit-bull. We had Taurus neutered (he was over two at the time), and a few weeks later, he started acting very agressive, which was not like him. He ripped Pup-Pup open a few times and then somehow (and I know he did not do it on purpose), he ripped a segment of my lower calf open approximately 1" wide and 4" across. I was devastated, but I knew I had to put him to sleep. The vet thought perhaps his brain had grown too big for his skull, which is prevalent in pit bull mixed breeds.
It was a very hard thing to do, as before this, he was a sweet, gentle and loving animal. He was terrified of thunder storms and I can remember we used to stay home when we knew there was going to be a storm.
I'm sorry you had to go to the Rainbow Bridge, Taurus. I hope you forgive us and I know we will meet you again.
