He was a retired construction worker from Union Carbide with 23 years' service, and a member of Masonic Lodge 170, Nitro, Scottish Rite Bodies and Gateway Church of Christ, St. Albans.
Surviving: wife, Opal Ruby; daughters, Jane Mynes and Eva Ashworth, both of Hurricane; son, Dale of Wendell, N.C.; brother, Lee of Hurricane; sister, Beulah Wisman of St. Albans; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Casdorph & Curry Funeral Home, St. Albans, with Minister David Stauffer and Minister Gene White officiating. Burial, with Masonic rites by Lodge 170, will be in Cunningham Memorial Park. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
