Andrew Hannah was born in Canada to James Isaac and Anne (Miller) Hannah. He was first married to Anna McGinnis Aug. 2, 1860 in Dubuque, Iowa. They were the parents of 4 children, Alice, who died in infancy, James, Joseph, and Charles. Anne died in 1868 and he married Mary VanMeter Oct. 23, 1872. They were the parents of 6 Children, Francis, John, William, Edwin Forrest, Henrietta (Etta), and Florence. He died in Detroit Jan. 1, 1921 in Detroit, Michigan at his son Edwin's. He was brought back to Rock Island for burial.
