Obituary

Otto Moseley passed away on Monday, January 3, 2017 in Montgomery, Al. He is preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Moseley, his parents, George Columbus Moseley and Lydia Adelle Moseley, seven brothers, and one sister. He is survived by his son, James Robert Moseley (Barbara), Daughter, Felicia Ann Moseley Stoddard (Fred), Son, Kenneth Richard Moseley (Krystina), Son, George Jackson Moseley (Deborah), grandsons, Lavaughn, Dwayne, Brandon, Michael Robert, Matthew Stephen, granddaughter, Celeste, step grandson, James Wayne, great grand-daughters, Taylor and Brooklyn, sister in law, Evelyn Moseley, and a host of nieces and nephews. Mr. Moseley graduated from Highland Home High School. He worked small jobs working his way up the ladder from shoe salesman, he sold insurance, delivered milk, bread, pepsi cola, worked for Montgomery Fire Dept, and ended his career in The United States Postal Service as a letter carrier. He was a devoted Union member, President, Vice President, Treasurer, recording secretary for the Montgomery Branch #106. His church membership was at Coolsprings Primitive Baptist Church but lived in Montgomery and attended Montgomery Primitive Baptist Church when able. He was raised on a farm in Highland Home moved to Montgomery to start out on his own. You just can't take the Country out of the boy and put him in the City and not expect him not to grow his own food. He made a good living and the gardening he did, he shared with his family, friends, fellow workers, and his postal patrons on his postal route. A visitation will be held at leak memory chapel on Monday, January 9, 2017 from 1:00-2:00PM with a Chapel Service beginning at 2:00PM. A burial will follow at Cool Springs Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Highland Home, AL. Pallbearers include: Steve Alexander, Kenny Stevens, Jerry Stopp, Jimmy Harris, John West, Tony Brooks, and honorary, Keith Warren.
