Streaty Parker was the Son in Law of Readding Blount.He was Captain of the Florida Mounted Volunteers in 1861 and also served in Hendry's Company, Munnerlyn's Battalion.

Portrait of Confederate soldier Streaty Parker, of Bartow

Served in the 3rd Seminole War under Captain Leroy Lesley. Elected Captain of the Hickory Boys, a mounted company of minutemen who operated near Fort Meade. Later Joined 1st Florida Special Cavalry Battalion, Munnerlyn's Guard Battalion which protected confederate cattle herds. Died 1884.
