Lillian "Lil" A. Francis, age 77, of Cape Canaveral, Florida, died on Friday, March 24, 2006.

"Lil' was born in Brownsville, Pennsylvania, on April 9, 1928.

Her parents were Ignazio Franceschini and Berenice "Betty" (Cicchetti) Franceschini both of Corcumello, Italy, and then Brownsville, Pennsylvania.

"Lil" graduated from Brownsville High School, Class of 1946.

She moved in 1960 to Orange County, Florida, and worked for Martin Marietta for 10 years.

In 1981 she moved to Brevard County, Florida, where she worked for Premier Cruise Lines for 16 years.

"Lil" was a Notary Public and a member of Our Saviour Roman Catholic Church in Cocoa Beach, Florida.

"Lil' is survived by one child, Alma Marcolini of Orlando, Florida; and three grandchildren: Karen McNamara of Orlando, Florida, Andrew McNamara and his wife, Christina Canfield McNamara, of Winter Park, Florida, and Colleen McNamara of Orlando, Florida.

"Lil" is also survived by her sisters: Rose Corodi and her husband, Andrew Corodi, and Virginia Galway all of Brownsville, Pennsylvania; sister-in-law, Elizabeth "Libby" Francis of Cocoa Beach, Florida; nephews: Albert Francis II and his wife, Nancy Francis, and their son, Albert Francis II, of Cocoa Beach, Florida, Teri Sigman and sons, Ryan and Robert, of Cape Canaveral, Florida, Mark Galway and his wife, Patty, and their son, Josh, of Brownsville, Pennsylvania, and Cindy Stirling and her children, Christa and Chad, of Uniontown Pennsylvania.

Visitation was held at the BECKMAN-WILLIAMSON FUNERAL HOME, 101 North Brevard Avenue, Cocoa Beach, Florida 32931 (321-784-0116) on Tuesday, March 28, from 5 to 8 p.m.

A Requiem Mass was said in Our Saviour Roman Catholic Church, Cocoa Beach, Florida, on Wednesday, March 29, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Father Heslin as Celebrant.

"Lil" will be laid to rest in her hometown of Brownsville, Pennsylvania.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her honor to Pathways for Care, 430 Plumosa Avenue, Casselberry, FL 32707. Pathways for Care is a Catholic-sponsored healthcare refuge for the homeless and the underprivileged.
