Frank L. Turner, 80, a Kittitas Valley pioneer, died at Toppenish this morning. He had resided there for the past five years.
Turner came to Thorp 56 years ago. He remained there until moving to Toppenish. He is survived by his wife, Sarah, of Toppenish, and three grandchildren, Frank, John, and Sarah Jane Turner, all of Ellensburg. They are the children of the late Wesley Turner, who died in Ellensburg some years ago. Wesley was Frank Turner's son.
Turner was a member of the Thorp IOOF Lodge and the Wisteria Rebekah Lodge of Thorp. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Honey Chapel. The Rev. Frederick Pedersen, Methodist pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the Thorp Cemetery. All members of Turner's lodges are especially invited to attend the services.
