She was born and raised with her family in Longview, and graduated from R. A. Long High School in 1956.
Eileen began her 26-year career at Longview Fibre delivering mail with her little red wagon, which "the guys" hid from her multiple times. She made many lasting friendships and good memorials at Fibre before retiring in 1993 as a supervisor.
Eileen and Dave traveled to Arizona for 15 winters, but enjoyed returning at Longview each spring. Eileen loved life. The best of times were family gatherings with her traditional recipes and games around the dinner table. Her favorite pastime was laying bingo with friends.
Eileen leaves behind two brothers, Gary (Karen) Snekvik of Phoenix and Bill (Helen) Snekvik of Sherman, Texas, three sons; three grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
A private family service was held.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Steele Chapel at Longview Memorial Park & Crematory.
