Mrs. Ruth M. Tarman, 90 of 35 W. Main St., widow of Benjamin F. Tarman died at 8:30 P.M. Tuesday March 20, 1984, in her home. She had been in failing health for a number of years. She was born in Quincy Township May 15 1893, daughter of the late George and Margaret (Rossman) Snyder. All of her life was lived in Quincy and Waynesboro. She and her husband were married in April 1918 and moved to the present residence in 1940. Mr. Tarman died in February 1970. She was member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Sabillisville. Her only survivors include a number of cousins. (Her cousins who were the children of Harry E. & Addie (Rossman) Snyder were referred to as double-cousins, as brothers married sisters.) Private services will be held Friday at the convenience of the family. Entombment will be in the family mausoleum in Quincy Cemetery. It was Mrs. Tarman's request that there be no viewing.
