Kathleen R. Young 1942 ~ 2007 Kathleen R. Young, age 64, passed away Jan. 13, 2007 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Kathleen was born May 16, 1942 in Salt Lake City to LaVere Conrad Jenson and Gertrude Florence Rizzuto. She attended West High School. She was married briefly and was blessed with her first child Kelly. In 1960 she married the love of her life Melvin Robert Young, they added two more to their family, Rick and Paula, and were happily married for 47 years.

Kathleen loved her home, those who spent any time at her home would quickly realize how much pride she took in keeping it clean and ready for anyone to visit. Many would agree she had a green thumb, her yard was always beautiful. She was blessed with the opportunity to travel to Italy with her best friend, her sister Penny, and their husbands. In 2004 Kathleen took the opportunity to go through the Temple to be sealed to her parents.
Kathleen is survived by her loving husband Melvin Robert Young; her sons, Kelly (Lisa) Young, Rick (Debbie) Young, her daughter Paula(Matt) Madsen, her sister Penny (Lloyd) Mills, her brother Michael Steele and her nine grandchildren. Preceded in death by a granddaughter Ashley Young.
