In one record, erroneously recorded as Private James Douglas (D: 21 Feb 1862) of Troop F of the 7th US Infantry. Originally interred in the Fort Craig Cemetery, New Mexico; plot 5-202. However, other registers record him as John with all the same data. He was also recorded as killed at the Battle of Valverde during the Civil War. (Burial Registers).
