Lucille Crain Combs, 71, of Athens, died Sunday, Jan. 14, 2007, at her home from injuries sustained in a house fire.
A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Lela Hamby Crain. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Freddie Millsaps; her second husband, Clifford Combs; two daughters, Judy Brock and Teresa Combs; one brother, William Crain; and one granddaughter, Felisha Combs.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Lawrence Crowder of Sweetwater, and Lisa and Tony McGuire of Riceville; five sons and three daughters-in-law, Jesse and Linda Millsaps and Jerry Millsaps and fiancZe, Barbara Farrell, all of Decatur, Junior and Brenda Millsaps of Athens, R.N. and Kathy Millsaps of Decatur, and Eddie Combs and fiancZe, Derenda Kirby, of Ringgold, Ga.; 17 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Zora and Herman Swafford of Riceville, and Beatrice Crowe of Decatur; and special friends, Melvin Coleman and Barbara Schultz.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Rogers Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Shane Bryson officiating. Burial will follow in Rogers Creek Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Bo Millsaps, David Talley, Dale White, Scott Combs, James Bookout and Leon Crain.
