He was a son of William Bogardus Berry, M.D. and Elizabeth Wright Gould.
Romeyn Berry was married to Olive Nutting at her family's summer home in Nova Scotia in September of 1908. They were the parents of three daughters. Secondly, he was married to Hester Bancroft in 1932. He and his second wife were the parents of Warner B. Berry.
He is survived by his wife, Hester Bancroft Berry, Jacksonville; a son, Warner B. Berry, Jacksonville; two daughters, Mrs. C.H. Sanford, Hamden, Conn. and Mrs. William Mailer McDonald III of Pelham Manor; four grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. James Wood Tyson III, Baltimore; nieces and nephews.
Services were held in Sage Chapel, Cornell University.
