Obituary from The Daily Herald (Provo, Utah) - Monday, April 3, 1972:

SALT LAKE CITY - Funeral services will be held Tuesday noon at the East 27th LDS Ward chapel, 185 P Street, Salt Lake City for Mina Scovil Wignal, 94, of Salt Lake City, who died in a Salt Lake City rest home of natural causes.

She was born July 6, 1877, in Springville, a daughter of Lucius M. and Hannah Marla Marsden Scovil. On January 2, 1901, she married Ernest James Wignal in Springville. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He preceded her in death.

She was the former vice president and board member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, a member of the Days of '47 Queen Committee for 17 years.

Surviving are her sons, Alden R. Wignal, Salt Lake City; E. Arthur Wignal, Albuquerque, N.M.; Burt M. Wignal, San Diego, Calif.; nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at 260 E. South Temple from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and at the chapel an hour prior of services. Burial will be in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
