Grave marker has birth date year as 1850, but during 1850 her parents were on the plains walking from Omaha to Salt Lake Territory. The LDS Overland Travel data contains no record of her August birth. But instead, family histories and her Church records verify (see Family Search "Memories") that she was born in 1851 in Salt Lake, stating in multiple documents that she was born months AFTER the family arrived in Utah. The census records bear this out. In 1860, she was listed as "9", and in 1870, she was listed as "18", making an 1851 birthday more correct.
