Judge Davis, 51, Troy resident, died Tuesday morning about 4:30 at Methodist Hospital in Memphis.
Services will be held at 2 P.M. Thursday at the Troy First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Ray Howton officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery near Hornbeak. White-Mahon Funeral Home of Troy has charge of arrangements.
Mr. Davis was born Nov. 17, 1921 near Hornbeak, son of Mrs. Iona Lyons Davis of Troy and the late Samuel H. Davis.
He was married in 1950 to the former Elizabeth Hudgins who also survives.
Mr. Davis was a veteran of WW II and a Methodist. At the time of his death, he was employed as a tool and die maker with Olberg Manufacturing Co. in Dyersburg.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two sons, Jerry Ray Davis and Jackie Dan Davis, both of Rogers, AR; a brother, George Daniel Davis, Stockdale, MI; three sisters, Mrs. Buster Phillips, Elizabeth City, NC, Mrs Helen Ferguson and Mrs. Mary Rudd, both of Troy, and four grandchildren.
Nephews will serve as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will include Bernis Moss, Johnny Pett, Bob Glozier, Burt Bumpas, Jr., J. C. Nichols, James H. Baker, Lester Hailey, Jack Berry, P.A. Bondurant and Jack Sharp.
