Betty Ann Valentine, 87, of Elizabeth, W.Va., passed away February 1, 2017, at Worthington Care Center of Parkersburg, W.Va.

She was the daughter of the late Isaac Ray and Junia May (Smith) Weaver

She was a member of the Newark Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting, gardening and being with her children.

She is survived by her children, Steve (Sheila) Valentine of Parkersburg, W.Va., Robyn (Jerry) Maze of Elizabeth, W.Va., Kenneth (Kim) Valentine of Washington, W.Va., Bruce Valentine of Parkersburg, W.Va., Brian Valentine, and Matt Valentine of Parkersburg, W.Va. Ten grandchildren, Megan Valentine of Parkersburg, Ashley (Ron) Roush of Parkersburg, W.Va., Stephanie (Jeremy Jones) of Parkersburg, W.Va., Reagan Maze of Elizabeth, W.Va., James (Jodi) Maze of Parkersburg, Seth Valentine of Elizabeth, W.Va., Angela Valentine of Elizabeth, W.Va., Brooklyn Valentine of Elizabeth, W.Va., Samantha Valentine of Washington, W.Va. and Laken Valentine of Pakersburg, W.Va. Three great-grandchildren, Aliza and Kaylyn Jacoby of Parkersburg, W.Va. and Riley Maze of Parkersburg, W.Va. One great-great-grandchild, Maliki Jacoby of Parkersburg, W.Va. Brother Richard Weaver of Elizabeth, W.Va. Sisters, Thelma Fluharty of Walker, W.Va., and Cheryl Roberts of Lewisville, Ohio. Several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to both her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Valentine; two sons, Marshal and Cliford Valentine; two brothers, Gerald and Roger Weaver; and one sister, Geneva Maxson.

Services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, February 4, 2017, at Matheny Whited Funeral Home of Elizabeth, W.Va. with the Rev William Cottrell officiating. Visitation will be Friday, February 3, 2017 from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be at Evergreen South Cemetery of Parkersburg, W.Va.
