Kay I. (Mundis) Bowles

Kay I. (Mundis) Bowles, 59, died on Tuesday, May 6, 2003 at 12:05 p.m. at Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of Carl E. Bowles to whom she had been married since June 12, 1960. She was a homemaker and a member of Windsor Church of God.
She was born in Red Lion on January 11, 1944 and was a daughter of the late Claude and Alice (McSherry) Mundis.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Terry L. Bowles of Yoe and Carl E. Bowles of Windsor; two daughters, Carol Ann Pearson of Yoe and Jody R. Eckenrode of York; three grandchildren, Brandon & Hunter Bowles and Nathan Eckenrode; one brother, William E. Mundis of Red Lion; two sisters, Phyllis Clark and Karen Chrismer, both of York; several nieces and nephews.
Viewings will be Monday, May 12th from 7 to 9 p.m. at Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion and Tuesday, May 13th from 9 to 10 a.m. at Windsor Church of God, 1125 Manor Rd., Windsor. The service will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the church with her pastor, Rev. William C. Smith, officiating.
Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, 2997 Cape Horn Road, Red Lion, PA 17356 or to American Diabetes Association, York Chapter, 2040 Linglestown Road, Suite 106, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
