He was born in Richmond, Va., on June 21, 1936, and was the son of the late Charles C. and Rhoda E. (Taylor) Bowles.
Carl worked as a sandblast operator at Harley-Davidson York retiring in 2002 after many years of service. He really enjoyed listening to bluegrass and gospel music. He liked eagles, and he was known to be in his Harley Davidson clothes most of the time. But most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren whom he loved dearly. He will be sadly missed.
He is survived by two sons, Terry L. Bowles of York and his wife, Tami, Carl E. Bowles of Red Lion and his wife, Dee; two daughters, Carol Ann Pearson of York and her husband, Robert and Jody L. Eckenrode of York and her husband, Timothy; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters; three brothers; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, George.
Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
