Lucinda Rice married Alexander Bryant on 29 Jul 1862 at Fort Scott. Bryant died on 10 Nov 1862 after being caught by guerillas. Fold3 has documents showing Walter Merrick helped her to get a widow's pension. I also found an obituary for Walter that said he married Mrs. Lucinda Bryant.
