The service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 397 Tyler Run Road, York. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, York. Visitation will be 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the church. The John W. Keffer Funeral Home Inc., 902 Mount Rose Ave., York, is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Godfrey was born Sept. 9, 1933, in York. She was the daughter of the late Alfred W. and Mamie E. (Ness) Johnson.
She worked at American Chain and Cable Co., and was a treasurer for Teamsters Local 430 Credit Union and a bookkeeper for DeVonos Dry Cleaning. She attended Aldersgate United Methodist Church and was a 1951 graduate of William Penn Senior High School.
Mrs. Godfrey is survived by a son, David C. Godfrey of York; a stepson, Alan J. Godfrey of Thomasville; a stepdaughter, Deborah A. Yingling of Glendale, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; a great-grandson; three sisters, Oda D. Fickes, Charlotte J. Mann and Mildred I. Rees, all of York; and nieces and nephews.
Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Kris-Ann Wilcox.
