YORK Oda D. Fickes, 92, formerly of Autumn House at Powder Mill, died at 8:50 a.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2007, at Rest Haven- York. She was the former wife of the late Robert F. Fickes. Born May 29, 1914, in York, a daughter of the late Alfred W. and Mamie E. (Ness) Johnson, she retired from Minnich's Pharmacy, and was a member of Saint Paul's Lutheran Church. Mrs. Fickes is survived by a daughter, Candace L. Hutton and her husband, Richard of York; three grandsons, Christopher D. Hutton and Jonathan P. Hutton, both of York, and Timothy A. Hutton of Rochester, N.Y.; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Mildred I. Rees of York; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Donna Godfrey, Romaine Feeser, and Charlotte Mann; and a brother, Alfred L. Johnson. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at Saint Paul's Lutheran Church, 25 W. Springettsbury Ave., York, with her pastor, the Rev. Stanley Reep, officiating. Viewing will be 1 to 2 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery.
