Mrs. Gracie Garland age 68 of Cannon, KY departed this life on Thursday, February 9, 2017 in the Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY. She was the wife of William Garland and the daughter of Wesley and Ollie Jordan born to them on February 6, 1949 in Knox Co.

She was a member of the Greenroad Baptist Church. She enjoyed singing and quilting and cooking for her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Jack Jordan, one sister Lizzie Jordan and a grandchild Steven Paul Ryan Garland.

Survivors include her husband William Garland of Cannon, three sons, William David Garland and wife Gina and Thomas Lee Garland and wife Trina all of Barbourville and Bobby Garland and wife Sheila of Woolum, one daughter, Olivia Grace Burnett and husband Shannon Scott of Gray, KY, four brothers, Pat Jordan and wife Malette of Barbourville, Derek Jordan and wife Martha, Darrell Jordan and wife Helen and Luke Jordan and wife Margaret all of Hinkle, eight sisters, Barbara Reynolds of Hinkle, Charlotte Cottongim and husband Danny of Somerset, Callie Fern Hall of Ohio, Carol Jones and husband Arvil also of Ohio, Sandy Bruner and husband Wilbur of Hinkle, Doris Faye Cochran and husband Ray of Oklahoma, Mazelene Hicks of Ohio, Joyce Merida and husband Randall of Hinkle, nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren, a great niece whom she raised, Kelly Nicole Jones and a special friend Joy Hubbard. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral services for Mrs. Gracie Garland will be conducted in the Cobb Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, February 13, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Mickie Smith and Rev. Josh Jordan officiating. Pallbearers will be family & friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Jimmy Shawn Smith and all the doctors, nurses and staff at the Jewish Hospital. She will be laid to rest in the Callebs Creek Cemetery at Hinkle. Cobb Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
