Everilda Margaret "Honey" Tarbox, age 90, of Manitowoc passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc.
Honey was born October 27, 1926 in Valders, WI daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth "Bessie" (Robinson) Schmidt. She married Ben Tarbox, Sr. who preceded her in death.
Survivors include two daughters: June (Ellman) Siech, FL; Patricia (Tarbox) Beres and her husband Rob, Pewaukee, WI; one son: Charles Schmidt Ellman and his wife Becky, Racine, WI; 10 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; four brothers and a sister: Art Schmidt, Whitelaw; Eugene (Betty) Schmidt, Brillion; Paul (Beverly) Schmidt, Manitowoc; John Schmidt, Manitowoc; Mary Ann Kuusito, Menasha; a sister-in-law: Ruth Schmidt; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Honey was preceded in death by her parents, one son Benjamin Tarbox Jr., father of June and Charles (Henry Ellman), as well as brothers, a sister and in-laws: Loyle Schmidt; Norma & Elroy Behnke; Donald & Mary Jane Schmidt; Anne Schmidt; Ronald Kuusito; and Jean Schmidt.
Remembered and appreciated in thought and prayer is her beloved surviving companion of 40 years, Gene Wachs, Manitowoc, and the many devoted caregivers at the Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center, who generously and lovingly tended to her with respect, kindness and friendship.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, 928 S. 14th Street, Manitowoc. Burial will take place at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Clarks Mills following services.
