Lucille Boggs McAdams, 86, of Saxonburg, died Sunday (Sept. 28, 2003) in Sunnyview Home, Butler.
She was born Oct. 4, 1916, in West Deer.
Mrs. McAdams was a licensed practical nurse at Sunnyview Home and had worked at the Saxonburg Bakery.
She was a member of Jefferson Center Presbyterian Church, Jefferson, a member and past president of the American Legion Auxiliary in Saxonburg, a foster grandparent and a volunteer at Children's Rehabilitation in Butler and attended the Southeast Senior Center.
Survivors include four stepsons, Ronald McAdams of Canton, Ohio, Larry McAdams of West Deer, Ellis McAdams of Cheswick and Dale McAdams of Tarentum; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Norene (John) Fortuna of Tarentum; 11 stepgrandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; three brothers, Oliver Black and Archie Black, both of Cabot and John Black of Butler; and three sisters, Betty Gent of Oakmont, Mrs. Agnes (Ernest) Smith of Oceanside, Calif. and Lois Hodil of Glenshaw.
She also is survived by two brothers-in-law, Nicholas Marsella of Broomall and Paul Zang of Butler; numerous nieces and nephews; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred McAdams in 2000; her parents, Archibald and Mary Kelly Black; and four sisters, Mary Alice Tishey, Margaret Marsella, Carolyn Widenhofer and Elma Zang.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in FOX FUNERAL HOME INC., 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg, where services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday. Her pastor, the Rev. Jeff Moore, will officiate. Burial will be in East Union Cemetery, West Deer.
