Deaths and Funerals.
Death of William Chamberlain.
William Chamberlain died at 12:10 o’clock Friday at his residence 322 Bellefonte avenue, from a complication of diseases. Deceased was aged 56 years, 5 months and 1 day. He was a member of G.A.R., having been a member in Company F, 1st Regiment, of Pa., L. A. Vol. He as a consistent and devout member of the Methodist church. Although in ill health for some time he bore his sufferings with great patience, always trusting in the Lord. He was a kind and loving husband, a fond and affectionate father, and a friend to all in time of need, always forgetful of self in administering to the wants of those dear to him. His death leaves a vacancy in the home which never can be filled. He is survived by his invalid wife; his sons Harry, of Johnstown, Burt and Lawrence of this city and daughter Florence of this city; also by his brother Calvin, of Lock Haven, and Jesse of Pine Creek and sisters Mary Riggles, of Kansas and Nancy Ritchie of Williamsport.
The remains of William Chamberlain were taken to Trinity M. E. church yesterday afternoon, where Rev. J. B. Shaver conducted the services. Selections were rendered by Trinity male quartet. The floral tributes were numerous and beautiful. Interment was made in Highland cemetery by Rev. L. G. Heck, H. D. Loveland, Adam Zeigler, J. B. Lesher, R. W. Bebeh and P. H. Walker. A large delegation of John S. Bittner post and many friends attended.
The family of the late Mr. Chamberlain return thanks to friends and neighbors and to the G.A.R. for the many kindnesses shown during the illness and death of their loved one.

Lawrence J. Chamberlain left this city Saturday for Courtland, N.Y., to assume the management of a band of 20 soloists for the celebrated Sautelle circus.
