Mrs. Soper died at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Kate Holley, in Bement. She is survived by the following children; Mrs. Russell Wheeler of Decatur, Mrs. Otto Gunter of Niantic, Mrs. Holley of Bement, Purl Soper of Rock Island, Leslie Soper of Chicago, Jean J. Soper of Bement, George Soper of Sullivan and a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A short service was held at Edwards Funeral Home in Bement at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, followed by the rites in Sullivan in the afternoon. Casket bearers were all grandsons; Roscoe Soper, Orrie Soper, Paul and James Gunter, Carrol and Donald Soper, and the flower girls were all granddaughters. Burial was in Greenhill Cemetery.
