Mrs. Cowart was a longtime resident of Smyrna. She worked and retired from Thomas & Betts Company with over 30 years of service. She worked as a Real Estate agent for over 25 years and was a member of the Million Dollar Club. Claudette had a passion for music and was a singer with the Happy Voices for Delmar Gardens Residence.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Ralph M. Brown. Surviving are her husband Ed Cowart of Smyrna; daughter Jill Brown (Preston) Hobby of Smyrna; step-daughters Linda (Roy) Heaton of Kathleen, GA, Debra (Derrick) Day of Winston, GA, Sherry (Ken) Thomas of Douglasville, Kathy (Steve) Sunday of Hiram; sisters Betty (Franklin) Lewis of Dadeville, AL, Brenda (Dennis) Brantley of Maryville, TN; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
