Richard L. Allen, Sr., age 96, of Lincoln, Nebraska, and formerly of Ceresco, Nebraska, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2017 in Lincoln. He was born February 2, 1921 in Neligh, Nebraska to Arthur and Josephine (Nagel) Allen.

Richard was a retired farmer, member of the Ceresco United Methodist Church, Ceresco Senior Citizens, American Legion Post #244, WWII Army, and was a self-taught beekeeper for over 20 years.

He is survived by: sons, Rick Allen and Randall Allen; daughters, Eileen (John) Lindahl, Gayleen Allen, and Sherry (Larry) Komenda; nine grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: parents; wife, Winona; daughter, Shelly Stoneking; one sister; five brothers; and two great grandchildren.

Funeral Service on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Ceresco United Methodist Church, Ceresco, Nebraska.
