--------------
James Oliver (Pastor Jim) Armstrong, lover of God and lover of man. A servant of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. A soul winning machine!

He moved from life to eternal life on March 2, 2017. He always told us to look for his mansion with bright red doors and a steady flow of lemon meringue pie, on his table. On this side, Jim leaves his wife of 72 years, Virginia Winslow Armstrong, his son, James Oliver Armstrong 2 and daughter, Tanis Armstrong Caras. He can no longer roll down the hill of his backyard with his grandchildren: Matthew Notbohm, Natalie Notbohm Lauer, Esther Caras, Heather Armstrong Nolting and James Armstrong 3, but I can imagine, he is rolling in the clouds. Grandpa Jim will be missed by his amazing great-grandchildren: Sarah Nolting, Elizabeth Nolting, Kate Nolting, Ian Nolting, Tyler Wolfe, Caleb Lauer, Landon Lauer, Jenna Lauer, Hailey Caras, Adam Notbohm, Nora Notbohm, Christian Notbohm, Courtney Price-Dukes, Sammy Armstrong, Andy Armstrong and Lucy Armstrong. The friendships developed over 94 years are precious to our hearts. The relationships in the Body of Christ, life changing. Little br other and sister: Dave Armstrong and Fran Armstrong Bermel, loved by " Jimmy". What a loss to our family and the local body of believers! What a gain for heaven!

Services: Memorial service at St. Louis Family Church, 17458 Chesterfield Airport Rd., Chesterfield, Tuesday, 12:00 Noon. Interment private. Visitation at the SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Road at Holloway, Ballwin, Monday 3-8 p.m.
