John "JD" Howard, 89, of Fellsmere, FL passed away on Saturday March 11, 2017 at VNA Hospice House.
He was born on October 31, 1927 in Anderson, SC and has been a resident of Indian River County since the age of 21 years old.
John "JD" was a retired mechanic for a private company. His hobby was working on cars, grilling, shooting pool and dancing.
He was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church in Fellsmere.
John survivors include his wife, Ella Frances Howard of Fellsmere, FL; eight grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and seventeen great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, John Howard II, daughters, Mary Howard, Willie Maude King, parents, Elizabeth and John Howard Sr. and other sibling.
Visitation will be held 5 to 7PM Friday March 17, 2017 at Mount Olive Baptist Church, Fellsmere. A funeral service will be held at 11AM Saturday March 18, 2017 at Mount Olive Baptist Church, Fellsmere. Burial will follow at Brookside Cemetery.
