Leslie Sydney "Les"was born in White Plains, New York to Franklin L. and Virginia E. (Eddy) Roberts on December 5, 1940. She married James A. Doersam on June 2, 1960 at the Rochester Institute of Technology Chapel. To this union were born three daughters: Christine, Amy and Michelle.
Leslie graduated from Medford High School, Medford, Massachusetts, and studied retailing at Rochester Institute of Technology. She was employed by the Webster Central School District as a food service worker at the junior high school until illness forced her to give up her job last December. She also operated Windjammer Kennels at her home and was involved in breeding and training golden retrievers.
Leslie, of 983 Five Mile Line Road, Webster, New York died in the Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York on Thursday, March 8, 1990 at the age of 49 of cancer.
She is survived by her husband; three daughters; son-in-law, John Norris; her mother, Virginia Eddy of Massachusetts; and a sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Melvin Brecher of Massachusetts. She was preceded in death by her father, Franklin L. Roberts on July 7, 1988.
A memorial service will be held on March 12th at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Webster, New York. Arrangements are being handled by the Willard H. Scott Funeral Home of Webster, New York. Her body was cremated at the White Haven Memorial Park in Pittsford, New York.
