On Thursday evening of last week Mamie Cummings, aged 13 years last September, passed away at Whitson's drug store. She was as well as usual the day of her death and came down town to play basket ball. Before she began to play she was taken with bleeding from an artery of the lungs and was taken to the drug store where she passed away.
The deceased was the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James C. Cummings, and a most estimable young lady.
The funeral, which was largely attended, took place from the Catholic church last Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. Father Murray officiating.
The remains were laid to rest in the Blooming Prairie cemetery. The floral offerings were many and very pretty. The sorrowing family and relatives have the sympathy of this community in their very sad and sudden bereavement.
