Mrs. Noah R. Ward

Funeral services were held last Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in the Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home here for Mrs. Carrie B. Ward of Crisfield. She died Monday of last week in McCready Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness. She was 62 years of age. The Rev. Donald J. Hurst, pastor of the Immanuel United Methodist Church, officiated. Burial was in St. Pauls Cemetery, near Marion.

Mrs. Ward was a member of Immanuel Church and of its Womans Society of Christian Service. She also was a member of the Auxiliary of the Crisfield Elks Lodge.

Born in Crisfield, she was a daughter of the late William H. and Doshia Parker Blades.

Surviving are her husband, Noah R. Ward; a daughter, Mrs. Albert Miles, Crisfield; one grandson; two brothers, Robert Blades, Dallas, Texas, and Ronald Blades, Baltimore; three sisters, Mrs. Harry Holtz, Baltimore, Mrs. Earl Jones, Winter Park, Florida, and Mrs. Robert Reynolds, Princess Anne. Several nieces and nephews survive also.
