MARION Mr. Bobby Ray Proctor, 69, of Marion, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at the Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville.

A native of Marion, Bobby was born July 22, 1947, to the late Ray Proctor and Margaret Allen Proctor.

He was the owner of Proctor Installation Service, a well-respected home improvement company doing business all over western North Carolina.

A proud veteran of the U. S. Army, he served his country faithfully during the Vietnam War.

Bobby enjoyed every minute of his life and lived it to the fullest. His ability to make people laugh and his infectious smile won him many friends. To meet him was memorable, to know him was to love him, and to lose him hurts those near and dear to him.

He loved his family and friends and was a wonderful father and grandfather. He knew how blessed he was by his life and his family and never hesitated to express that to those he loved.
