Charles "Richard" Moody, 76, of New Haven, MO, passed away Friday, March 24, 2017 at his home.

Charles was born in St. Louis, Missouri on April 25, 1940, a son of the late Jules & Anna (Miller) Moody.

He was the husband of Edna Marlene (Blue) Moody. They were united in marriage on November 18, 1961, in St. Louis, Missouri. Marlene survives at the home.

Charles was also survived by a daughter, Sandra Bockting & husband Mike, New Haven, Missouri; a son Rick Moody, of New Haven, Missouri; a son Ed Moody & wife Christa, of Owensville, Missouri; a daughter Tracy Scego & husband Dwayne, of Washington, Missouri; a son Scott Moody & wife LuAnn, of Hermann, Missouri; a sister Bertha Fraley, of St. Louis, Missouri; by two brothers, James Moody & wife Carol, of DeSoto, Missouri; and Michael Moody, of Sullivan, Missouri, by three sisters-in-law, Joyce Dare, of New Haven, Missouri; Judi Gauer, of New Haven, Missouri; and Vicki Ford & husband Russell, of Texas, and by 14 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, and four brothers.

Charles was a welder. He worked for ACF Industries in St. Louis for 19 years, then for Progressive Fabricators and lastly for Gen Corp Automotive in New Haven for 10 years.

Visitation will be held Monday, March 27th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven, Missouri, where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor David Poe officiating.

Burial will be at New Haven Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Ed Moody Cancer Fund. C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
