Dottie was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Walter C Fox, daughter, Sue Cox, and parents, Ray and Agatha Thomas. She was born near Richwood, WV and grew up in Cowen, WV. Throughout her life, she loved spending time on the farm where she was raised, gardening and observing nature. She graduated from Cowen High School and attended West Virginia Wesleyan College where she met her husband. Together they enjoyed being surrounded by family for holidays, vacations, and random get-togethers. She initiated a loving tradition many years ago of gifting the entire family Hallmark Christmas ornament series at Thanksgiving. She worked as a secretary for Belle, WV Elementary School for almost 25 years. She was also a member of the Brooks Bird Club and enjoyed observing her backyard birds. She was loved for her sassy sense of humor, sharp wit, delicious meals, and her devotion to her family. Surviving are her son, and daughter.
