James Troy Cox, 85, of Greenville, husband of Evelyn Port Cox, died March 25, 2017.
Born on July 14, 1931 in Inman, he was a son of the late Jessie and Marie Cox.
Mr. Cox loved to fish and he loved people. He never met a stranger and was a faithful reader of the Bible.
In addition to his wife of 63 years, whom he lovingly referred to as "his angel", he is survived one son, James Darrell Cox (Stella); three daughters, Pat Redding (David), Wanda Adams (William), and Laraine Bowers; nine grandchildren; and sixteen great grandchildren.
