Retired from Inman Mills, a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, a member of United Methodist Women, the Susannah Bible Class, and loved to serve as a volunteer at Mary Black Memorial Hospital and in the community.
Survived by sons, Jerry Gregory, James V. Gregory (Linda), and Jackie Gregory (Marsha); seven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by a grandchild; and siblings, Perry Dalton Cox (1913–1985), Walter Herbert Cox (1916–1998), Edith Beatrice Cox Abernathy (1919–1972), Howard LeRoy Cox (1921–1958).
Private services were held.
