Mrs. Sophia Pfister, 65, wife of John Pfister, 1212 St Clair avenue, died Monday noon at St. Nicholas hospital after a brief illness.
Born May 27, 1884, at Urbach, Russia, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christian Pfister, she was married to John Pfister in 1905 and came to the United States, directly to Sheboygan in 1908. The couple made their home here since that time.
Mrs. Pfister was a member of the Volga Aid society.
Survivors are her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Conrad (Emily) Jurk and Mrs. Edwin (Sally) Meyer, Sheboygan, and Mrs. Ray (Sonya) Carson, Maywood, Ill.; two sons, Gottlieb and Henry, Sheboygan; 13 grandchildren: one great-grandchild and a brother, David, Fresno, Calif.
Two children preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p. m. Wednesday at the Ballhorn Funeral home and at 2 p. m. at Trinity Lutheran church. The Rev. Karl Schulz, pastor, and the Rev. F. A. Brauer, assistant pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Lutheran cemetery. The body will lie in state at the funeral chapels until the time of the services.
