Elsie Lehman 97, of Johnstown went to be with the Lord surrounded by her loving family on April 2 2017 at Bethlen Home in Ligonier. Born August 20, 1919 in St. Michael, PA the daughter of James and Blanche (Adkins) Costlow. Preceded in death by devoted husband, Alton W. Lehman. They were recognized as the longest married couple in PA of 77 years. Also preceded in death by son, Dave, married to Marion; siblings, Walter Costlow, Melvin Costlow, Pearl Simmons, and Mary Jane Henderson. Survived by sisters, Agnes Stiffler and Virginia Phipps; as well as her children: Judy, married to Harry McClurkin of Ligonier, Kathy married to Jack Trabert of Johnstown, Karen Lehman of Pittsburgh, Mark Lehman married to Judi of Bentleyville, Jess Lehman married to Debbie of Johnstown. Also survived by 20 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren and one of the way. Elsie was a caring and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family, riding the waves at Virginia Beach and reading. She loved going to daily Mass at St. Benedict Church with her husband and was the spiritual rock of her family. She will be sadly missed by all who loved her and the many lives she has touched. Family and friends are to be received from 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc., 710 Broad St. where vigil service will be held. Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Fr. David Peles officiating. Committal will be held at Richland Cemetery.
