Elizabeth Freude Thompson, 53, of New Philadelphia, Ohio, formerly of Natrona Heights, Harrison, died Sunday (Feb. 8, 2004) in Mercy Medical Center, Canton, Ohio.
Born July 2, 1950, in Harrison, she lived there most of her life before moving to New Philadelphia 10 years ago.
Mrs. Thompson worked at Mitchell Plastics, Indiana Township, and at Lauren Manufacturing, New Philadelphia, for nine years.
She enjoyed reading, watching soap operas, swimming and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 23 years, Wayne E. Thompson Sr.; a son, Victor A. Thompson of New Philadelphia; two daughters, Mrs. Mary (W. William) Ferney of New Kensington and Mrs. Susan (Leonard) Tartamella of Nutter Fort, W.Va.; a stepson, Wayne E. (Susan) Thompson Jr. of Springfield, Ore.; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Carol (Michael) Gay of Eugene, Ore.; and her mother, Helen C. Freude of New Kensington.
She also is survived by two grandchildren, Jayde M. Ferney of New Kensington and Mason J. Tartamella of Nutter Fort; and two stepgrandchildren, Tabetha and Pamela Thompson of Eugene.
She was preceded in death by her father, Henry A. Freude Jr.
Friends are invited to attend a Christian Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Monday in Mount St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, New Kensington. Burial will be in Mount Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights. Arrangements are under the care of ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., New Kensington.
